Dexia Namur will take their EuroLeague Women eighth-final play-off serious back to Istanbul next Wednesday after defeating Fenerbahce 66-59 on Friday night.

Fener stormed to an 80-66 win in the first game between the two sides, but game two proved to be a different prospect altogether for the Turkish outfit.

Although they led for most of the contest, Fener had no answer for an inspired fourth quarter peformance from Belgian international Nele Deyaert.

Trailing 48-54 at the start of the fourth quarter, Dexia turned to Deyaert and she delivered in style, scoring seven straight points to bring her side to within three points, 53-56.

Cathrine Kraayeveld then split a pair from the line and after Katryna Gaither blocked Cappie Pondexter's lay-up attempt, Polish veteran Krystyna Szymanska-Lara hit a jump shot for Dexia to tie the score at 56-56.

Two more free throws by Szymanska-Lara gave Dexia their first lead since the second quarter and Deyaert nailed another pair from the line to cap a 14-2 run and a 60-56 lead.

Gaither added insult to injury following another Pondexter miss on the next play, hitting a lay-up from an offensive rebound to extend the lead to 62-56.

It was then a case of hanging on for the home side, and despite a couple of shaky moments down the stretch, Annemarie Parau's two free throws sealed the win.

Fenerbahce shot just 2/15 in the fourth quarter and 0/4 from the free throw line.

Gaither led the way for Dexia with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Deyaert had nine of her 10 points in the fourth quarter.
