Dapo Dazzles For Pecs
// 21 December 2006

Amra Dapo earned top-scoring honours as she inspired Mizo Pecs to a 63-56 win over hosts ZVVZ USK Prague in EuroLeague Women Group B.

The 184 cm forward poured in 16 points and hauled down three rebounds with many of those points coming at crucial times for her side.

Dapo's three-pointer, the last bucket of the third quarter, ensured that the Hungarians took a 48-41 lead into the final period.

At the start of the final period, Dapo and Anna Vajda both converted jump shots to extend the lead to 52-41.

From that point on Prague were a beaten team and never came close to threatening Mizo Pecs, although two late free throws from Michaela Pavlickova gave the score a more respectable look.

Dapo received stout support from Vajda, who added six boards to her 12 points, while Timea Ivkovnice Beres had 11 points and five rebounds.

Sandra Le Drean and Katerina Elhotova both managed 14 points and four rebounds in a losing cause while Sviatlana Volnaya contributed 13 and five boards.

The win was Pec's first of the season and the road and they improved to a 5-3 record while Prague slipped to 1-7.
