Spartak Moscow Region romped to a comfortable 81-31 victory over Famila Basket Schio as Tina Thompson continued her recent impressive form with 20 points for the visitors.
Thompson poured in 19 points and hauled down 10 boards during the 61-47 win over TEO Vilnius and then contributed 28 points and 18 rebounds as Spartak beat Wisla Can-Pack last week and was in inspired form against Famila.
Spartak maintained their unbeaten start to the EuroLeague Women Group A against in Schio as Thompson contributed six rebounds along with her points haul as Famila struggled to cope on their home court.
Spartak burst into a 26-5 first quarter lead before the home side slightly responded to trail 15-40 at the interval.
The visitors extended their lead in the third before sealing the win with a 23-9 burst in the final quarter.
"It's difficult to talk about this match," said Schio coach Fabio Fossati.
"Spartak is a very strong team and a possible winner of the EuroLeague Women. Howewer we did not play 100% and we also are playing without the injured Taylor (Penny), Ngoyisa (Mudju), Moro (Elisabetta), - three of the starting five.
"We have to win the next matches if we want to qualify to the next round."
Agnieszka Bibrzycka (14), Ivanka Matic (11) and Marina Karpunina (11) also contributed double figures for Spartak, while Katja Munck provided the home side's resistence with 10 points and two rebounds.
Spartak and MKB Euroleasing Sopron top Group A with unbeaten records, while Famila were left rooted to the foot of the table with Wisla, who also have yet to win during the current campaign.
