In a match-up between two winless teams, Wisla Can Pack came out on top by defeating Famila Schio 78-60.
Famila Basket got off to a stong start and led 11-4 midway through the first.
Dalibork Vilipic hit a jumper to start a 7-0 run which evened the scoreline.
Later in the quarter, Jelena Skerovic scored to put the Polish-based team ahead 16-15 and from there, Famila would never be in the lead the rest of the way through.
Vilipic punctuated her fantastic first quarter performance by scoring just before the first quarter buzzer to put her side ahead 25-20.
The 195-cm center scored 11 of her 20 points in the opening stanza.
The two teams played even in the second quarter and then Wisla put the game out of reach with a third quarter spurt.
Monika Krawiec and Dorota Gburczyk connected on three-pointers and Vilipic hit a jump shot as Wisla started the second half on an 8-0 run to open up a double-digit advantage.
Another basket from Krawiec midway through the quarter extended Wisla’s lead to 15.
Krawiec continued her on-slaught in the fourth quarter. Her three midway through the final stanza increased Wisla’s lead to 21 and they would ease home to victory from there.
Krawiec, who entered play avergaing just two ppg, finished with 14 to go along with three steals.
Skerovic had 12 points and 11 assists for the victors.
Gordana Kovacevic led the way for Famila with 18.
The club from Italy were once again without Australian ace Penny Taylor due to injury and fell to 0-4 on the season.
