Turk Telekom Maintain Winning Form

Turk Telekom consolidated their excellent start to the season with a EuroCup Group G win over Ural Great Perm.

The Russians led 22-16 at the end of the first period but Turk Telecom took control in the second period and went ahead when Muratcan Guler picked off a three-pointer.

Four consecutive free throws by Alexey Zozulin put Perm back in front but a three-pointer from Haluk Yildirim and a layup from Guler ensured the visitors led 41-38 at the break.

In the third quarter Perm brought the score back to 51-50 but then the Turks went on a 12-point run in the end of the third and start of the fourth in what proved the decisive phase of the match.

Still Perm were not beaten and a three-pointer with 22 seconds left from Belov brought the score back to 74-71.

However, six free throws, four from Tutku Acik and two from Erwin Dudley, secured a win that takes Turk Telecom to 5/1 - they also boast a perfect 10/0 record in domestic basketball.

Turk's Acik and Samuel Hoskins of Perm shared game-high points hauls of 16 with Hoskins also hauling down 10 boards in a losing cause.

Ural slip to 2/4 and are third in the four-team group.
