Italy rolled into the Ostchem U20 European Championship quarter-final round on Sunday with a convincing display against Hungary.
Needing a win to advance in the tournament, Italy made the game safe with a dominant first half performance.
Italy's game plan was to attack Hungary's guards at every opportunity and it worked perfectly in the first half, as Hungary were forced into committing 20 turnovers.
Italy turned most of those turnovers into fast-break opportunities and led 42-18 after 20 minutes.
There was more of the same treatment for Hungary in the second half as Italy continued to press.
Hungary finished with 33 turnovers as Italy cruised home, 74-41.
Michele Antonutti, Luigi Da Tome and Matteo Canavesi all scored 13 points for Italy.
