Portugal's winning streak came to an end on Saturday in Skopje against FYROM.
The Portuguese have been the surprise of qualifying action so far and had compiled a 3-0 record going into today's game, including a 108-90 defeat of FYROM in Portugal.
But in Skopje it was the home team who dictated the pace.
Portugal put up a fight for 20 minutes, but FYROM gradually pulled away in the second half. They sealed an impressive second half display with a 29-point fourth quarter and eased to an 83-63 win.
Vrbica Stefanov top scored with 19 points while Dime Tasovski and Todor Gecevski scored 18 each.
FYROM's win leaves both sides with 7 points in Group B.
Portugal have a slight advantage in that their final two games against Israel and Bosnia & Herzegivina will be played at home, while FYROM must travel to Sofia and Sarajevo for their remaining games.
