GAME REPORT

Poland Posts Second Win

Poland made it two wins out of two as they saw off Bulgaria 75-68 in their EuroBasket qualifying round Group A clash.

Andrej Urlep's men took control of the game with a 17-5 run just before the end of the first half to open up a 39-25 lead.

Adam Wojcik started the spurt by scoring field goals on back-to-back possessions for Poland.

Andrzej Pluta, who poured in a game-high 25 points, hit a three to seal the run.

For the game, Pluta was 7-of-14 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.

In the third quarter, Poland continued to power ahead and showed no signs of letting up as they maintained a sizeable advantage, 60-46.

Bulgaria forward Todor Stoykov tried desperately to keep his team in contention as he drilled in 25 points.

Bulgaria cut the Polish lead to seven with two minutes to go, but Pluta drained a three to push the lead back to 10 and ensure Poland's win.

Poland next plays the Ukraine on Wednesday in Gdansk.

Bulgaria hosts Sweden on Tuesday.
