France eased their way into the Umcor U18 European Championship Women in Tenerife with a comprehensive victory against Belgium, 82-46.

France are perennial contenders at the U18 Women level and this year's team looks no different.

It took the French about 6 minutes to establish dominance over neighbours Belgium and a 10-2 run miday through the opening quarter put them firmly in control, 18-10.

The rest of the game was nothing more than a practice run for the French as their lead steadily increased.

Head Coach Francois Gomez had the luxury of playing every member of his squad and all 12 players got on the scoresheet.

Center Ana Cata-Chitiga top scored with 13 points, while Carine Paul (10), Nwal-Edene Miyem (12) and Marielle Amant (11) also contributed double figures in scoring.
