Group D of the Euro Cup Challenge is wide open as all three teams have one win and one loss from their first two games.
This is the situation after Bakken Bears of Denmark beat Dutchmen Eiffel Towers Den Bosch 77-51 on Thursday night.
The first half was very close with Bears leading 34-32 at the interval.
If the first half was close, the second half was quite the opposite. Bakken Bears opened up a gap by winning the third quarter 17-11 and finished off in style with 26-8 in the fourth quarter.
The Bears win was a result of a team effort, illustrated by the fact that 11 players were on the score sheet.
Danish national team center Chris Christoffersen led the Bears with 17 points. Young Mads Nyboe also had a fine game. He scored 13 points – six of those were three pointers early in the fourth quarter that helped decide the outcome of the came. Also he grabbed vital rebounds at that stage.
Eiffel Towers Den Bosch were led by Joachim Gomes who scored 16 points and Gert Kullamäe who scored 12.
