Lietuvos Telekomas Vilnius destroyed Phard Napoli 88-44 in a Group C game that was all but over after the opening tip-off.

The Lithuanian club, having won one of their first two EuroLeague contests, stormed out to a 23-5 lead with three minutes and 40 seconds left in the first quarter and were never challenged after.

Irena Baranauskaite led a balanced scoring attack for Lietuvos with 16 points, with four other players in double figures.

One of those, 33-year-old veteran Jurgita Streimikyte, had 14 points and nine rebounds.

The winning side was 10 of 18 from the arc, while the visitors from Italy were a woeful one for 11.

Baranauskaite and Sandra Valuzyte scored the first two baskets for the home side, and after Mery Andrade made one of two from the line for the Italians, Katie Douglas and Streimikyte got in on the act for an 8-1 lead.

Phard's Victoria Bullett, who led her side with 16 points, hit a jump shot only for Baranauskaite to bury a three-pointer to start a 10-0 that gave the home side an 18-3 advantage.

The Italian team, who have fallen to 1-2 in the competition, would get no closer than 13 points the rest of the way.
