Katie Douglas produced another sterling effort for Lietuvos Telekomas but it was in a losing cause as the Lithuanians were beaten 68-61 by USVO Valenciennes in a EuroLeague Women table-topping clash in Group C.

A series of dazzling displays from Douglas have seen Lietuvos challenge the French side for supremacy in the group but they slip to 7-3 while USVO now boast a 9-1 record.

Douglas poured in 25 points in what was a game high effort - she has posted double figures in all 10 EuroLeague women matches and has an average points haul of 20.3.

However, even she had to accept second best on the night to USVO's Australian guard Kristi Harrower who poured in 20 points, hauled down nine rebounds and contributed seven assists and three steals to her side's effort.

Lietuvos had led at the midway point after taking the second quarter 16-10 after Valenciennes had edged the first 21-17.

The Frenchwomen reasserted control by taking the third 19-14 before also taking the final period 18-14.

But the outcome was in doubt until the final two minutes with the hosts leading 62-59.

Jurgita Streimikyte sunk two from the charity stripe to bring the score back to 62-61.

However, a layup and a free throw from Slobodanka Tuvic took the score to 65-61 and then three free throws from Harrower ended the contest.
