Bourges Basket enjoyed a comprehensive 89-69 win over MKB Euroleasing Sopron in the Euroleague Women on Wednesday.

Spain international Laia Palau paced the winners with 22 points, while Andrea Karolyi also claimed 22 points in a losing cause for the visitors.

The Hungarians edged the first quarter, with a three-pointer from Nikki Teasley (19 points) putting them 22-19 up at the interval.

But a 15-4 run in the second put Bourges in front and from then on the result was never in doubt.

Latvian forward Anete Jekabsone (20 points) and DR Congo center Mudju Ngoyisa (18 points) also made telling contributions for the home team, with Ngoyisa adding nine rebounds.

Bourges move to 7-2 in Group B, second behind Gambrinus Sika Brno (8-1), while MKB remain fourth on 4-5.
