GAME REPORT

Dutch Stun Hapoel Subaru

MPC Capitals played the role of spoiler on Wednesday night as they won 73-66 at Hapoel Tel Aviv Subaru.

The Dutch side are celebrating their first victory of the EuroCup in five games, and so are Slask Wroclaw in Poland who now find themselves alone in second place in Group F with three victories and two defeats.

Had the Israeli team won, they would have joined Slask with a 3-2 mark.

Hapoel will still advance to Round II ahead of the Polish team if they win their clash next week in Tel Aviv - the final clash for both sides - as they won the first encounter.

A one-point victory in Israel would suffice for Slask.

Maroussi Honda, beaten by Slask 74-71 on Tuesday, have already clinched first place in the group. MPC Capitals only had pride to play for as they had already been eliminated from contention for the next phase.

Travis Reed scored eight of his team-high 20 points in the first quarter as MPC stormed out to a 19-6 lead.

They stretched their advantage to 42-23 by half-time and were never in trouble over the final 20 minutes.

Rodger Farrington had a game-high 25 points in defeat for Hapoel.
