Damir Mrsic scored 14 of his game-high 20 points in the first quarter to lead Fenerbahce to an 88-64 mauling of BC Kalev in Istanbul.

Fener, who hosted the FIBA Europe League Final Four last season and finished fourth, had already clinched their place in Round II.

But they went into their clash against Kalev looking to build some momentum.

The hosts put the game on ice in the opening period when they stormed out to a 31-12 advantage.

Fener play host to Lemesos next week in a game which will decide which side finishes first in Group E.
