GAME REPORT

Cholet Have A Ball, Beat Azovmash

Cholet won for the second time in the EuroCup with an 87-78 success against BC Azovmash in Group A but the Ukainian team will not mind too much as they had already booked their place in Round II.

Jimmal Ball poured in 24 points for Cholet while also dishing out seven assists.

Cholet were in total command near the end of the first half when Olivier Bardet's three-pointer gave them a 51-32 advantage.

Azovmash chipped away at their lead after the intermission and pulled to within 75-72 with four minutes remaining on a dunk from Arnas Kazlauskas.

They would get now closer as the French team claimed a comfortable win. Art Long had 18 points for Azovmash.

Ruddy Nelhomme, the Cholet coach, said: "We finish this European Cup with a positive game. I am happy to see all my players play together tonight.

"David Gautier and Jimmal Ball were excellent tonight and helped us win.

"Now we are eliminated from this competition, we have to be concentrate on our next game against Clermont Ferrand."
