Czech side Mlekarna Kunin cantered to victory tonight in their FIBA Europe Cup encounter against visitors Lucenec (Slovak Republic).
Other than the opening 2 points, which were scored by Lucenec's Michal Tarabus, the game belonged entirely to the home team.
Mlekarna Kunin established an early 5-point lead (11-6) and although Lucenec came back to tie the score at 15-15, Mlekarna Kunin quickly struck back and had a 5-point advantage, 20-15 after 10 minutes.
The home side increased the lead to 17 points by halftime and were not threatened for the rest of the contest.
Mlekarna Kunin hit 62% of their 2-point field goal attempts in the win and dished a total of 19 assists. George Leach scored 17 points, while Vid Zarkovic added 16 and 7 assists.
