Prague collected a solid 30 points lead in the second quarter and then it was no doubt who would be the winner. Zagreb could not catch the tempo of the game at any moment. They committed many turnovers and their shooting from all ranges was pretty poor.
Eventhough the home team lost it’s concetration in third quarter which offered en equal battle it was USK again who stunned Zagreb in the last one. Prague showed many of their skills in the final quarter and so the game looked more like an exhibition game than a european cup game.
Althought Prague's Kiesha Brown was not in the starting five, she became the best scorer of the match, shooting 5 of 10 from field and 2 of 2 from three-point-land. So she was rightly named the MVP of the game.
Nikola Plecas Head Coach Medvescak Zagreb:
“USK Prague is a very good team and they deserved to win. We are rookies in the Europen club competitions and we have a young team but it is great for us to get experience. I hope we will do better next time.”
Lubor Blazek Head Coach USK Blex Praha:
“Compliments to my team. We were very concentrated for most of the time, we did well in defense and we were able to take advantage of our fastbreaks. I am happy we had a debut like this."
Kiesha Brown, MVP USK Blex Praha:
"I think it was a well played game by us. We played definitely well as a team and it turned out to be a good game.”
Game MVP: Kiesha Brown (USK Blex Prague) 17 points, 6 rebounds 2 assists
