After encountering some early season problems, Agnieszka Bibrzycka is showing the kind of form that saw her elected by the Gazzetta dello Sport as the European player of the year in 2004.
The Lotos Gdynia guard led her side to victory in Tuesday night's EuroLeague Women game against Sopron, netting 29 points in the 90-67 win.

Despite the flattering scoreline, Gdynia did not have an easy time against the Hungarian visitors.
The first half was very close and despite strong performances from both Bibrzycka and Margo Dydek (13 points and 13 rebounds), Gdynia had no answer for Sopron's fast break game.
Whenever Gdynia found themselves in front, Sopron were able to come up with a key turnover which kept the home side's advantage to a minimum.
It was in the third that Sopron began to flagg, especially on the boards where Gdynia dominated (42-25). Sopron star and 2003 European Championship MVP Lucie Blahuskova had a disastrous game and was held to 0 points.
Without their second leader scorer, Sopron began to fade and Gdynia took control in the third and fourth quarters, eventually scoring a comfortable 23 point win.
As well as Dydek and Bibrzycka, Gdynia got an encouraging performance from 22 year old center Ewelina Kobryn and she finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Hungarian national team up-and-coming star Anna Vajda top scored for Sopron with 20 points.
