GAME REPORT
BOXSCORE
Dexia Namur 67 vs. Lietuvos Telekomas 71
// 25 February 2005

Vilnius made their intentions clear from the very start this evening as they opened the scoring with a 0-6 run in the first 3 minutes, taking a lead which was then never to be relinquished for the remainder of the game.

Dexia's Rebekkah Brunson
Dexia missed opportunities at the beginning of the game and couldn't score (2 points after 5 minutes). The Lithuanian defense made it difficult for the Belgian team to find any way to the basket whereas Jurgita Streimikyte piloted to her team to a 4-14 lead.

Fortunately for Namur, Anna Wielebnowska was able to reply for the home side and the score stood at 13-20 after the first period. The second quarter followed in much the same way as the first with Streimikyte leading the way to a 28-42 Lithuanian lead before the half time.

Dexia Namur was determined to put on a good show for the home crowd and came out fighting after the break. Thanks to Szymanska and Volnaya, the home team was able to pull back to 47-54 and 49-55 after 30 minutes.

The locals even narrowed the gap to 57-60, 62-65 and even 65-67 but still the Dexia players were not able to take complete control and Vilnius held on for the victory and the Quarter-Fianl spot.
