Lavezzini Parma 57 vs. Gambrinus JME 101

25.02.2005

Brno brushed aside an understrength Lavezzini Parma in the eighth-finals of the EuroLeague Women to advance to the quarter-finals for the 8th time in the last 9 seasons.

Parma were without Federica Ciampoli and Dubravka Dacic, while Gordana Grubin and Ana Kostaki's playing time was limited due to niggling injuries.

Brno won the first contest by 35 points (89-54) and the second game was just as one-sided.

In game one, Parma suffered the indignity of a 22-1 opening barrage by Brno. This time around they stayed in contention for 10 minutes, but a 28-14 run by Brno in the second quarter broke the game open.

It was garbage time the rest of the way as Brno cantered home.

Hana Machova led 6 Brno players in double figures with 18 points.
