MiZo-Pecsi VSK 86 vs.
Dynamo 76

Pecs showed their credentials as the top team in Group B with a home victory against Dynamo Moscow.

Moscow may be loaded with stars such as Kamila Vodickova, Mwadi Mabika and Sue Bird, but Pecs were the stronger team on the night.

After a strong start by the visitors, it was Pecs who seized control of the contest with an awesome 3rd quarter display, outscoring Dynamo 22-10. Pecs made eight straight shots after the second half began, including 3 three-pointers, which gave them a 58-51 lead at the 27-minute mark.

Five points from Vodickova at the start of the 4th quarter saw Dynamo come roaring back into the contest, and an Elena Karpova jump shot tied the game at 68-68. But Alena Branzova and new signing Amra Dapo steadied Pecs, combining for 8 points which saw their team regain the lead, 76-68.

Dalma Ivanyi was the top performer for Pecs, finishing the game with 22 points and 12 assists (a high among all players this season in the Euroleague). Branzova and Dapo contributed 18 points apiece.

Vodickova scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for Dynamo.
