Trutnov made a dream start to their first outing in the EuroLeague Women. The Czech side, who are playing in the competition for the first time ever produced an emphatic display and easy win over visitors Sporting Athens.

Trutnov produced an almost perfect defensive game and as a result, Athens was only able to score after 5 minutes of the opening quarter, after which they already trailed 9-0.

The home side's dominanace was never in question and in the third quarter their lead ballooned to over 30 points.

198 cm center Petra Kulichova had an outstanding debut for Trutnov and was seemingly all over the court for the home side, finishing the game with 17 points, 16 rebounds, 9 steals and 6 blocked shots.

The loss concerns the whole team. It was wonderful atmosphere in the hall! It is a pity, that our team couldn´t show the local spectators a better performance."
