It was reunion time in Valenciennes against Polish side Krakow as the EuroLeague Women champions welcomed back captain Audrey Sauret. Sauret has been unavailable for the entire 2004/2005 season after injuring her knee in the 2004 French league finals.

| Although Sauret's statistical contribution to the game was relatively minimal (she scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 19 minutes of action) her presence lifted her team-mates to an easy victory over the Polish visitors.
Krakow produced a respectable first half against the French giants, including a perfect 4/4 from three-point land in the second quarter which saw them trail by just 4 points at halftime, 44-40.
But there was to be no stopping USVO from winning their third consecutive EuroLeague Women contest.
Sandra Le Dréan led USVO with 17 points on 8/10 shooting, while Lucienne Berthieu added 15 points and 8 rebounds. |
