Going into the game with a 1-5 record, Kozachka-ZALK had to beat Wisla Can-Pack to keep their chances of qualifying for the next round alive.

Zaporozhye found their rhythm early in the game,  building a 9-point lead by the 7th minute, mainly thanks to Oxana Pys’mennyk, Olga Lyashkova and Ruslana Kyrychenko.

The Polish team finally found their way into the game and closed the gap to two points by the end of the first quarter (26:24).

Also in throughout the second quarter it was a close game with none of teams being able to build a comfortable lead. As a result it was still a 2-point game at halftime (41-39).

The game was decided in the third quarter because of Olexandra Gorbunova and Olena Zherzherunova. Kozachka-ZALK finished the quarter with a 15-point lead.

The Ukrainians finally won 81:65, thus gained revenge for their loss in the first game between the two teams.

Olga Lyashkova led the Ukrainians with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, while Ruslana Kyrychenko added 19 points.

Americans Shannon Johnson and Tangela Smith had 14 points apiece for Wisla Can-Pack.
