Anwil kept their hopes for qualifying to the next round alive by beating SIG Strasbourg 72-64.
During first two quarters Anwil had problems making their shots. Wloclawek missed 11 shots from three point land (3/14) and 12 from under the basket (9/21). But at least they didn't repeat the situation from the first game, when Strasbourg took an early lead and extended it with every minute.
The game was often tied and after the first two quarters the result was 31-31.
Strasbourg relied mainly on its key players - US-forward Sharif Fajardo (22 points) and Ricardo Greer (18) while they got very little support from their bench players, contributing only 6 points.
Anwil began to take a lead in the third quarter. Swanson scored 10 points during this part of the game, Kadziulis added two 3-pointers and Frasunkiewicz one. The result was 57-51 and the home team strarted to control the game.
Greer managed to reduce the lead to 5 points (61-66) in the last quarter but Anwil's 23-year old forward Robert Witka added 3 points and gave his team the second win in the FIBA Europe League.
