Fenerbahce SK 76 vs. BC Kyiv 74

BC Kyiv lost their position at the top of the FIBA Europe League's Group A to Fenerbahce SK tonight in front of 1000 Turkish fans.

Fenerbahce managed to hold a 5 point lead at the end of the first quarter thanks to 8 points from Damir Mrsic.

Kyiv tried to close the gap in the second period with most imput coming from Greer and Giannoulis but Fenerbahce managed to hold on to a 8 point advantage going into the break thanks to Mrsic who scored 19 points in the first half.

The home team had a bad start to the third period and that allowed BC Kyiv to close the gap. Ioannis Giannoulis scored 8 points in the third quarter fro the guests and Fenerbahce's Chris Booker picked up his fourth foul.

The final period was a complete storm of excitement. BC Kyiv took a 5 point lead 5 minutes before the end but were denied victory by Damir Mrsic who put up 3 consecutive 3 pointers in 2 minutes.

Then Kyiv scored 2 fast breaks and equalised the game. Fenerbahce fianlly won thanks to a 3 pointer by Erdal Bibo in the last 4 seconds.

Fenerbahce SK's star player Damir Mrsic finished the night with an amazing 36 points, taking the leadership of Group A from Bc Kyiv and handing it to Fenerbahce SK.
