PBC CSKA 80 vs. Galil Elyon Golan 83

Galil Elyon put a nail in CSKA Sofia's FIBA Europe League play-off hopes this evening, with an 80-83 win against their Bulgarian hosts.

19-year old Galil Elyon forward Lior Eliyahu produced his best game of the year so far, scoring a season high 25 points and grabbing 9 rebounds in his side's win. Elihayu, an U20 national team player, has been nothing short of a revelation this year for the Israeli team.

It was Galil Elyon who controlled most of the contest, building as much as a 10-point lead in the first half. But Sofia stayed within striking distance and with 1 minute to play, trailed by 2-points.

But Sofia point guard Yordan Bozov committed a key turnover, giving Galil Elyon the ball back with 17 seconds remaining and a final basket by the visitors sealed the win.

Bozov's error marred what was an otherwise excellent game and he finished with 23 points on 7/10 shooting.
