Delta ICP 97 Szeviep Szeged 74

		Slavka Frniakova (Delta ICP) was the top-scorer of the game with 23 points

Only a victory guaranteed Delta’s promotion to the next round, which made the home players a bit nervous while shooting. But at the end there was a clear 97-74-win over Szeviep Szeged.

Szeged led during the whole first quarter, but in the last minutes of the period Slavka Frniakova (22 points, 6 assists) took Delta to a 6 points lead with two straight three-pointers.

The second quarter was very tied and Delta was leading by 4 points after 20 minutes, which promised an exciting second half.

After halftime the home avalanche rolled over Szeged and a 14-0 run determined the winner of group C.

The start of the 4th quarter was stunning. After Frniakova's three-pointer and another two by Slavka Hirakova Delta led 80:53 and Szeged started to worry about the promotion to the next round. The home team lost concentration in the last minutes of the match and Szeged saved their 2nd place in the group and the maintenance in the tournament. Standing ovation in sold-out Kosice's arena for the Delta players who started to celebrate the promotion and the 1st place in group C.
