Michaela Pavlickova showed her ability to come through in the clutch as her game high 24 points led Dynamo Moscow to victory over Fenerbahce, and 3rd place in the 2004 FIBA Europe Cup Women.
Pavlickova, a Czech international, struggled in the semi-final against Baltiskaya and could only score 6 points. Against Fenerbahce she found her touch, and her 2 consecutive baskets in the final minute of overtime ensured Dyanmo’s win.

It had taken 5 minutes in the period before either team could make a shot, but suddenly neither could miss and they traded baskets. Keisha Brown hit her first field goal in 9 attempts to tie the score and Donaphin answered for the home team.
Dynamo’s Natasa Andjelic hit a 3-pointer and Coco Miller replied with a jumper and the score was 64:63 for Fenerbahce. Pavlickova was then fouled and made 1 of 2 to tie the score. Fenerbahce had possession, but neither team could make the decisive move in the final minute. A flurry of turnovers ensued and the score remained tied at the buzzer, 64: 64.
Dynamo started overtime with 2 consecutive baskets from Donnette Snow and Elena Golovacheva. Fenerbahce replied through Donaphin, but Pavlickova scored 6 of Dnyamo’s last 8 points to lead her team home.

Pavlickova made 7/9 field goals and 10/12 free throws for her 24 points. Natalia Zasulskaya added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
Donaphin finished with 22 points for Fenerbahce, mainly thanks to her 10/11 free throws. Coco Miller had 14 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists before she fouled out in the last minute of regular time.
