GAME REPORT

BC Valmiera Rujiena 90 Arsenal Tula 110

BC Valmiera Rujiena started very well and, much to the surprise of Arsenal Tula and the home fans, controlled the game during much of the first half.  Their uptempo play and quick defence helped them to a 14-point lead in the second quarter. Arsenal, however, regrouped and went on a run in the latter minutes of the half and pulled back to a tight 56:55 at the break.

At the beginning of the second half Arsenal's high class and experience helped them to turn around the situation on the court. In only 3 minutes the Russians had created a gap of 10 points, 81:91 and from there the local team never looked back. The Latvian visitors couldn't re-find the form with which they had started the game allowing Arsenal to increased their lead to 20 points by the end of 40 minutes - 90:110.

Game MVP: Alexander Golybev
