FEL favourites Unics Kazan overcame a gutsy play-off effort from KK Hemofarm Vrsac to become the 2nd Russian team (along with Ural Great) to advance to the Final Four.

Hemofarm shocked Kazan in the 2nd game of the series, but there was no doubting the Russian side’s dominance in game 3.

Hemofarm managed to stay with the Kazan for the opening quarter, but the Russian upped their intensity considerably in the 2nd and 3rd quarters to assume tight control of the game.

In a key 2nd period, Kazan turned a 3-point deficit into a 10-point advantage by holding Hemofarm to just 5 points in the entire period. They consolidated the lead in the 3rd quarter, outscoring Hemofarm 26:13 and never looked like losing the game.

Martin Müürsepp had one of his best games in the FEL as he scored a season high 21 points. Lamarr Greer added 18 for Kazan, who will face Russian rivals Ural Great in the semi-finals of the final four.

Nebojsa Bogavac, Hemofarm’s leading scorer throughout the season, once again top scored for his side with 14 points. Veteran forward Milenko Topic grabbed 14 rebounds.
