SLUC Nancy 70 - Maroussi Telestet Athens 77

Maroussi started very well in the first quarter using Andre Hutson as its main weapon who was too fast and strong in the paint for the Nancy players. In spite of two three pointers by Nancy player Fred Vinson, Maroussi led 20:12 after the first quarter.
 
In the second quarter, Nancy started to play better defense. The Serbian/American duo of Randolph Childress and Dusan Nedic was able to put Nancy back into the game, with Nedic scoring 12 points.

Maroussi still led, but by halftime their 8-point lead had been cut to 3, 31:34.

The Greeks retained control of the game in the last 2 quarters, as Nancy started to get into foul trouble.

Maroussi proved to be the better team on the night and Hutson and Roderick Blakney were on particularly good form for the Greeks.

It was Prodromos Nikolaidis who ended any hopes of a Nancy upset. The Greek foward hit all 5 of his shots, including several down the stretch, to hold the French team off and give his team a 70:77 victory.

Andre Hutson was selected as game MVP. He scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.

Nedic finished with 21 points for Nancy and Childress added 13 assists.
