GAME REPORTNIS Vojvodina won a thrilling home game against Strauss Iscar in over-time (93–89) on the 4th game day of the FIBA Europe League. After the end of regular time the score was tied at 76-76.
Strauss Iscar played very aggressively which brought Vojvodina 41-times to the free-throw line (of which 35 were made; Dragan Ceranic 16 from 18) and three players from the Israeli club fouled out.
In the first three quarters NIS Vojvodina almost constantly had a 10-point-lead, but in the last part of the game the guests from Israel made their break-through, and Straus was even close to take the victory back home to Naharyia.

Cold as ice: Milan Gurovic hit two free-throws to bring his team into over-time
|
|
| However, the best player of the game, Milan Gurovic (21 points, 7 rebounds) was cool enough from the line and hit both free-throws to tie the game. Two seconds weren’t enough for Strauss to take a game-winning shot.
In extra time NIS Vojvodina found their wings and also were more confident than Strauss Iscar. As a result they earned the honour of remaining the only club in group D without a loss.
Game-MVP: Milan Gurovic |

COACH QUOTESNikola Lazic, Head Coach of NIS Vojvodina:
“I am very happy because my players won the game in extra time, because in this part of the game everything depends on luck.”
Milan Gurovic, NIS Vojvodina:
“We played bad, but we won, and this is most important. There are many things to improve in practice.”
Avi Ashskenzi, Head Coach of Strauss Iscar:
“It was a very tough game. In Israel we have played a game 48 hours before, but I am not complaining about my team, because they showed the desire to win.” Yosef Dadon, Strauss Iscar:
“I am not satisfied with the result of the game. In extra time of the game, we had to bring bench players into the game, and that is the reason why we lost.”
