GAME REPORT

Strauss Iscar Nahariya 83 - Telestet Maroussi Athens 74

Another game, another win. Israeli league finalists from last season Strauss Iscar Nahariya made it 3 in a row as they defeated Telestet Maroussi Athens. They join NIS Vojvodina as PAOK Thessaloniki as the only other undefeated teams in the FIBA Europe League.

Victory was not assured from the tip-off and the first quarter proved to be a close affair, highlighted by Maroussi center Ivan Grgat scoring his team's first 12 points.

It wasn't until the third quarter that Nahariya were able to create any momentum, which came thanks to an alley-oop from Eric Campbell which brought the crowd to its feet. Nonetheless, Maroussi fought back to take the lead, but a 3-pointer from Campbell tied the game at 57 going into the 4th quarter.

The game was finally broken open by the home team in the 4th, as they went on a 10-3 run. Maroussi cut the lead to 4 points in the closing minutes, but a 3-pointer from Stevin Smith (his only three of the night) gave Nahariya the breathing space they needed to seal the win.

Nahariya got another balanced offensive display, as Campbell top scored with 20 points and Erez Marckovich added 16.

Ivan Grgat continues his good form since moving from Aris to Maroussi. He scored 22 points and pulled down 9 rebounds, as did Andre Hutson.
