Having suffered two losses in a row in the games played away in the national championship and the FIBA Europe League, Ural Great went onto the court today determined to give their fans something to cheer about.
After the first few minutes and strong performances by Michael Johnson and Vincent Jones the home team built a 10-point lead. However, Polonia picked up their defensive intensity and finished the first quarter leading 24:19.
The second period appeared to be decisive for the whole game. European Champion and member of the Lithuanian National Team Ksistof Lavrinovic scored twelve points and grabbed seven rebounds. Good help came from Stevan Nadjfeji who had seven points and three boards. The first half ended 57:39.
Ural Great kept control of the game in the second half (77:56 after the third quarter and 101:76 - final score). The only players that the home team had difficulties guarding against were Antonio Harvey (21 points total) and Rolandas Jarutis (16 points).
