Azovmash Mariupol 70 STB Le Havre 61

French side Le Havre's trip to Mariupol proved to be difficult in more ways than one. Arriving at 3:30 in the morning before the game due to bad weather conditions, their misery was compounded with a 70:61 loss to Azovmash.

The long journey seemed to have taken its toll on the Frenchmen in the opening minutes, and Azovmash jumped out to a 7:2 lead. Le Havre rallied and took a 13:14 lead of their own in the 7th minute, but the Ukrainians finished the first quarter 22:16 ahead.

It was in the 3rd quarter that Azovmash began to stretch away from their opponents, and after 30 minutes they had a double digit lead, 59:48.

To their credit, Le Havre did not simply give up and fought back in the final period. However, Mariupol forward Dmytro Korablov came off the bench to hit all 4 of his field goal attempts and keep the game firmly in control of the home team.

Jermaine Guice was the only Le Havre player to hit double figures in scoring. He had 21 points on 8/16 shooting from the field.

Viacheslav Ievstratenko and Tephen Hamilton both scored 16 points for Azovmash, who move into 3rd place in Group A, level on points with Le Havre and Telindus Oostende.
