UNICS Kazan 107 CBC Siroki Brijeg 65

The Kazan v. Siroki game finally tipped off one day after schedule. Bad weather in Moscow closed the international airport and the referees were unable to make it to Kazan in time for the game.

The new game time meant that not many fans could make it to a gym where Kazan has averaged 4,500 spectators for all their FIBA Europe League games. It did not effect the home team though and they cruised to a 107:65 victory to retain their undefeated record.

UNICS won the game thanks to an awesome shooting display. They hit 77% of their 2-point shots and 43% of their 3-point shots, although perversely, they could only make 17/29 free throws.

The offensive display began straight from the opening tip and after the end of the first period, Kazan had outscored Siroki 30:16.

There would be no let-up for the next 30 minutes and although Siroki kept within eyesight in the 2nd period, they still trailed 59:41 at halftime.

By the end of the 3rd period the contest was over as Kazan led 89:51.

Martin Muursepp was named MVP after hitting for 11 points on 4/4 shooting. He added 6 rebounds and 2 blocks.

A total of 6 players from Kazan scored in double figures. Eurelijus Zukauskas had 16 on a perfect 8/8 from the field, and LeMarr Greer scored 15.

David Crouse Molina and Damir Vujanovic scored 15 points apiece for Siroki.
