Lavezzini Parma 80 USVO 106
// 29 January 2004

Valenciennes have proved vulnerable on the road this season where there record stood at 1-4 before the gama against Parma. With a play-off spot on the line however, Valenciennes showed their strength to defeat Parma and keep their post season hopes alive.

The French champions put on an offensive clinic in Italy, scoring 58 points in the first half alone. They hit a remarkable 65% of their shots from within the 2-point arc and 42% from the outside and 6 players scored in double figures.

Their final total of 106 is the highest of any team this season in the EuroLeague Women and they are the first side to break the 100-point barrier.

Australian center Suzy Batkovic led the way with a 21 point 6 rebound haul. She was ably backed up by Ann Wauters (17 points) Allison Feaster and Edwige Lawson (16 points), Sandra LeDrean (12 points) and Audrey Sauret (11 points).

Gordana Grubin had another fantastic output for Parma, scoring 29 points. But it was all in vain against the USVO offensive juggernaut.
