From the start, Lotos VBW Clima did their best to win but until the 35 minute, the French were the better team. Gdynia comitted too many turnovers and missed too many shots in the first half.
Allison Feaster completely broke Gdynia's defence. The American Forward scored 19 points in 20 minutes including five 3-pointers. She added another four to achieve her season high of 23 points. So the first half ended 30:39.
When USVO incresed their lead to 14 points (40:54) early in the second half, it seemed to be over for Lotos VBW Clima. The host team struggeled to cut their deficit to 8 points after 3 quarters (48:56). Then Elaine Powell came off the bench to help her team with some great drives. USVO answered with a 3-pointer by Suzy Batković and a 2-point fast break by Audrey Sauret. So there was a gap of 11 points again and only 7 minutes to ogo.

MVP of the game: Elaine Powell (Lotos VBW Clima)
Laurent Buffard, Head Coach, US Valenciennes Olympic:
"The Team from Gdynia only confirmed a fact, we knew since we played against each other in EuroLeague Final: they can beat any team. We played good in first three quarters but later it occured that we had too few players in the team, and we lost."
Krzysztof Koziorowicz, Head Coach, Lotos VBW Clima Gdynia:
"USVO is a top team in Europe, so beating them is a big success for us. Especially we played not a good match. The Will foro the victory and a bit of luck enabled us to win today. I would like to give credit to Limor Mizrachi for showing great attitude at the end of the game."
