The match up between the 2 leaders in Group B always promised to be an exciting one and both sides came out to win the game and put on a show for the fans in Vilnius.
As such, the game started nervously and after the home side opened the score they remained in the lead for the whole first half.
Lietuvos Telekmas maintained a small lead all the way through the 2nd quarter. Pecs was always 4-6 points behind and although they tied the game at 28:28, Lietuvos were able to again take a small advantage.
The home team seemed to be coasting, but when Olena Zherzherunova picked up her 4th foul, Pecs tied the score once again at 35:35.
A 9-0 run by the Lithuanians in the 3rd quarter was answered almost immediately by the Hungarians, who scored 5 straight points of their own and then went on to take the lead, 51:53 at the end of the quarter.
Pecs used their momentum to extend the lead to 7 points (51:58) before 2 straight 3-pointers from Lietuvos Telekomas captain Rima Valentiene cut the advangate to one (57:58).
The game remained exciting all the way to the final seconds. Pecs again took a 4-point advantage (65:69) and again the home team answered to cut the lead to 2 points.
Jurgita Streimikyte-Virbickiene led all players with 19 points and 11 rebounds, but she was unable to score for Lietuvos Telekomas in the closing seconds and Pecs held on for the victory.
Dalma Ivanyi was Pecs' top points scorer with 19 and elected MVP of the game.
