A strong second half from home side Sopron saw them blow out Ruzomberok, 90:65 in week 2 of the FIBA EuroLeague Women.

Sopron began the contest with an 11:2 run and looked like they would run away with the game from the very start. However, Lucia Laskova calmed the ship for the visitors and Ruzomberok worked their way back into the game.

The yo-yo scoreline continued into the second quarter, when Sopron again built a 10-point lead, only for Ruzomberok to reel off 7 points in a row thanks to some sloppy ball handling from the home side.

As the second half began, Ruzomberok surged ahead again, only this time they would not relinquish their grip on the game. They continued to increase the lead in the 3rd and 4th quarters, finally winning by the convincing margin of 35 points, 90:65.

21 year old Sopron guard Szlimák Hajnalka was named game MVP for her 11 point, 7 steal performance. A total of 6 Sopron players scored in double figures, with Gordana Kovacevic topping all scorers with 16 points.

Laskova had 18 points on 7/10 shooting for Ruzomberok.

"We made another step towards our aims. This game was the best in this season. But, we know, we have to work a lot to play so as we want. I hope that we can concentrate more time on a game in the future. But, I'm glad with our good conditioning."

"We were a little bit nervous in the first minutes. But later we calmed down and played fast, which Natalia asked from us. I think we will be better step by step."
