In their first home game in the EuroLeague Women of the current season, the team of Bourges showed a lot of power and energy which eventually led to a victory of +29 points against the visitors form Prague.
Shortly after the start, Bourges had an excellent start and led already 4-0 after a few minutes. After five minutes at a score of 10-5, Bourges coach Pierre Vinent decided to put Dumerc and Marcauskaité on the field instead of Poto and Ndongue. This double change however did not change the teams‘ performance and after another four minutes, the score was 18-10.
The best players of USK Blex KV were Pechova and Hlavackova. They were even able to reduce the difference to –9 again, but the host team was not really impressed so that the spectators saw the French team’s victory of 81-52.
Encouragingly for Bourges, 2 of their youngest national team players were also their top contributors. 19 year old center Elodie Godin had 13 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals, while 21 year old point guard Celine Dumerc added 13 points, 6 assists and 4 steals.
MVP of the Game: Ljubica Drljaca.
