|Ann Wauters rolled backc the years with a star performance against Adana|
Already holding a 13-point lead from their sterling work on the road, Villeneuve wore down their opponents in the second meeting and celebrated with their fans on the buzzer as they eased into the last four of the competition.
Belgian legend Ann Wauters showed her veteran class and was at the heart of a memorable night for the local favourites.
The center was in fine form and rolled back the years to carry her team to victory with 23 points from a majestic 10 of 11 floor shooting, which proved to be the perfect fusion along with the team's hard-nosed defence.
Botas knew they had to find a higher offensive gear to dig themselves out of the hole they found themselves in after the initial meeting and they initially delivered with 21 first quarter points to take a two point lead on the night.
But, Villeneuve made some defensive adjustments and locked down the visitors in the second period, restricting them to a paltry seven points to re-assert control.
While Lauren Ervin eventually collected 15 points in defeat, she was the only player to make double-figures for Botas as their offensive verve disappeared completely after the break - also scoring just eight points during the last quarter as their flame went out.
Villeneuve did what they needed to do and as Wauters spearheaded their safe passage into the next phase, Johanne Gomis provided the perfect cameo with 16 points on a wonderful seven of eight shooting night.
