Point guard Dalma Ivanyi insists the emphasis will be on pure entertainment when the EuroLeague Women All-Star game tips off in the home of Hungarian basketball, Pecs.

The MiZo-Pecs floor general looks set to be one of the stars of the show when Europe come up against the Rest of the World in the gala showpiece on March 8.

An anticipated full house of 5,000 will see the biggest names in the competition come face to face.

I talk to a lot of girls and they love coming here (to Pecs), even if they normally end up on the losing side!"

Ivanyi, who has spearheaded Pecs' assault on this season's EuroLeague Women title, said to PA Sport: "It's always good to get this kind of recognition and to see that people like what you are doing, especially in a team sport.

"It is not just about me because I would not be so successful without my team around me.

"I don't think it's just been about what I've done this season. I think it recognises what I have done in the last five or six years of my career, that I have been playing well during this time. It shows that people like my style.

"These games are really important. It's important to celebrate our sport in this way and I think we will go out to entertain the fans more than win the game.

"The result is not that important. People try different things in these games so you can't really tell who's the better team."

Ivanyi is riding high in the polls and has received the second-highest number of votes from the public, who decide who will compete in the event.

The 29-year-old, who is averaging 11.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and six assists this season, has been the inspiration behind Pecs' 9-1 run in the EuroLeague, which included a momentous 80-68 victory over two-time world champions BC Volgaburmash.

Ivanya admits she is desperate to keep up that good form in front of her own crowd in the All-Star game.

"For most of the season, I have felt good out there on court," she added.

"That's the most important thing for me. It's not just about scoring points and statistics for me. It's about coming off the court feeling I have played my best.

"I don't like to leave anything off the court and I put everything into every match I play. I give 100%.

"I always love playing here and as a basketball player, you couldn't ask for more than playing in front of your own home crowd, with 5000 fans cheering for you.

"I talk to a lot of girls and they love coming here, even if they normally end up on the losing side!"
