Eva Viteckova

The 190-cm sharp-shooting forward had as much to do with Gambrinus Brno’s success as anyone else. Last year, in 17 EuroLeague Women games, Viteckova connected from three-point range in 15 of them. She shot 56.9 (33-of-58) from behind the arc and her shooting ability stretched defenses and thus made it possible for post players like DeLisha Milton and Jana Vesela to flourish, thus helping Gambrinus win the 2006 EuroLeague Women title. Viteckova’s numbers are slightly down this season, but she still remains one of Europe’s top three-point threats. .... On the national team level, Viteckova averaged 14.9 in EuroBasket Women 2005 as the Czechs claimed gold. At the 2006 FIBA World Championship, her offense went up a notch to 15.ppg. Viteckova also played for the Czech Republic’s EuroBasket Women teams in 2001 and 2003. …. She received the six-most votes for the FIBA Europe Women 2005 Player of the Year.
