The Latvian Basketball Federation (LBS) announced on their website on Thursday the installation of former national team player Ilze Ose-Hlebovicka as head coach of the U18 national women's team.
Under Rozitis, the maroons narrowly missed out on promotion to Division A due to a 56-59 loss to neighbours Lithuania in the decisive bronze medal game.
The 39-year-old had an illustrious playing career, with more than 10 years of service for the national team, competing at two EuroBasket Final Round tournaments in 1999 and 2007, as well as several qualification campaigns and appearances in EuroLeague and EuroCup Women.
Ose-Hlebovicka has previously been on the sidelines for first Division sides SK Cesis and Latvijas Universitate and was on the coaching staff of the U20 Women's team.
Latvia are looking to get back to Division A after three consecutive years in Division B and can rely on a core of players from the team that finished fourth in 2013 led by Kitija Laksa, who was on Latvia's EuroBasket Women squad earlier that summer.
They are joined by the '97 born players who finished seventh at the U16 European Championship Women Division A 2013.
The U18 European Championship Women 2014 Division B will take place in the Romanian cities Timisoara and Oradea 17-27 July.
Latvian were drawn into Group A alongside Estonia, Germany and Ireland.
