Host nation Serbia beat Ukraine 84-62 to reach the semi-finals of the UMCOR U18 European Championship for Women as the only unbeaten team in the competition.

Serbian guard Nina Bogicevic had a game-high 22 points and pulled down 13 rebounds while team-mate Jelena Milovanovic poured in 20.

The game had a sluggish start, with Ukraine scoring just two points in the first four and a half minutes of play which left them trailing 9-2.

By the end of the first quarter Serbia led 20-8, three minutes into the second quarter, they had stretched their lead to 27-10.

The Ukrainians clawed their way back to trail 39-29 at half-time, by which time Milovanovic had scored 14 points.

Four consecutive points by last year's tournament MVP Sonja Petrovic kept Serbia in front, but Ukraine chipped away at the lead and when Arina Lysyuk buried a jump shot, the deficit was cut to 57-51 with seven minutes remaining.

Ukraine then saw their hopes of an upset vanish with an 11-0 Serbia run.

Serbia outrebounded Ukraine 58-43.

The Serbs will take on Russia in the last four while Poland, who finished second in Group F, meet defending champions Spain next.
