This 23-year-old showed last summer she can make some big contributions to the senior National Team after she claimed 10 points and 6 rebounds in an important game against fellow qualifiers Israel. Of course having already played at the Olympics and at EuroBasket Women 2009, Putnina is beginning to get more experience at the elite level while also finding some success with her club team too after reaching the EuroCup Women Final this year. Having spent much of her early development in the United States at high school and then college, Putnina always spent the summers impressing for the National Team at various youth levels. Since turning pro, she has played in two of the best leagues in Europe in France and Spain with some positive results coming off the bench. When she gets hot she can really light it up but is still evolving and working on finding consistency to match her unquestioned talent.
