While Ayelet Cohen missed out two years ago at EuroBasket Women 2009, she does have previous experience playing in a major tournament having managed to grab a spot on the bench during EuroBasket Women 2007. She found herself in a similar position last summer during the Qualifying Round and will be hoping she can offer her services once again as a potentially valuable back-up to the likes of Cohen and Doron in the backcourt when Coach Rabi needs someone he can rely on to give them a rest. She has good court vision, is a smart player and is always liable to contrinbute in a cameo for the team. Cohen comes off the back of a reasonably good domestic season and has played in EuroCup Women previously, so she certainly knows what is required at this level.
